A New Era for Bowerbird Atelier
Sarah and I met while floral freelancing in the Bay Area in 2014, and we had so much fun working together that we decided to team up and form Bowerbird Atelier. With my years of experience as a stationery designer, and her equally-matched experience as a florist, it made a ton of sense to combine our skillsets and offer a one-stop shop for event décor, and it turned out to be a pretty unique combination!
Through our three seasons of working together, we have learned a TON about collaboration, and it has been so much fun to find ways that floral and stationery can live together, and also shine separately. The cohesiveness we can create combining floral and stationery has been such an exciting experiment, and we have been so lucky to work with incredible planners and photographers who have been able to capture our collective design vision.
Now that we are closing out our third season, we find that we each want to grow in new and different ways, and separate seems to work better than together. So we are excited to announce that Bowerbird Atelier will be transitioning completely to custom stationery, and Sarah will be pursuing floral design with her new company Aqua Floral Design. Make sure to follow her there to see all of her gorgeous work!
We are still collaborating on several weddings, and hope to continue to do so in the future. I am so grateful that I have been able to be inspired by Sarah’s incredible floral design skills over these past few years, and I cannot wait to see what she does next!
