The Seed Exchange

This summer I took part in a 10-week Astrology Art incubator called SPACECRAFT, hosted by Sisterbride Astrology. It was incredible, and I am excited to share some of the work I made in the course in this blog post series.

Our second SPACECRAFT Assignment was based around our moon sign, and the prompt was to “build a house you will live in later” (based on a quote by Gaston Bachelard)

My natal chart moon is a New Moon in Virgo in the 2nd house. Basically, very subjective, intuitive, detail-oriented, subconsciously categorizing things that are undetectable. I immediately had the idea to make a miniature dollhouse room, and a seed exchange cabinet.

We also had to make part of this project with our eyes closed, so I chose to attempt a blind woven planter basket for the corner of this miniature space.

I’ve never made a miniature before and it was so fun!
