Real Wedding: Vicky + Will
PLANNER: Linen & Lilac | PHOTOGRAPHER: Sorella Muse | VENUE: Cavallo Point
Vicky and Will were married at Cavallo Point, overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, and they wanted their invitations to reflect their unique ochre and pink color palette. Honestly, ochre is a pretty bold tone and I love that V+W wanted it front and center in their stationery and florals. (And I probably have planners Leslie + Linda to thank for that unique creative vision!).
Modern-meets-Vintage Invitations
V+W were super into texture and floral imagery, but also wanted a clean and modern feeling with pops of fun bright color for their invitation suite. The pattern around the invitation creates a great textural moment and adds some thickness to the digitally printed card, and I love that we were able to incorporate florals into the custom postage.
A Venue with Gorgeous Views
Cavallo point is such a quintessential Bay Area venue; I’m obsessed with its view of the Golden Gate, and its vintage red-roofed buildings. It was a beautiful venue to showcase bold florals and uniquely bright stationery.
Acrylic Escort Cards
I knew V+W would be one of my favorite couples because they were both wearing Harry Potter scarves when they met. L+L came up with such a fun way to bring their love of books into their day with acrylic bookmark escort cards, and a fun escort book display. We color-coded the meal choices with the different custom pom poms (genius!), and I incorporated the pattern from the invitations onto the bookmarks to tie all of the design elements together.
Unique Table Numbers
Acrylic ended up playing such a big role in V+W’s day-of stationery, and it’s such a great material for an event with a modern aesthetic. Plus, acrylic table numbers incorporate so well with table arrangements, because they really let the flowers take center stage. I made these custom wood stands for the acrylic table numbers, and laser-etched the acrylic to give it a tone-on-tone look. And as a surprise for V+W, I made them this special sign for their sweetheart table, incorporating the pattern from their invitations, so they could have one as a keepsake <3
